We are seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Service Manager to lead our growing service department. This leadership role is responsible for developing technicians, driving operational performance, and ensuring an outstanding experience for both customers and team members.

What You'll Do

Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of residential HVAC service technicians and field leaders.
  • Conduct ride-alongs, call reviews, and ongoing field coaching to improve technical proficiency, communication, and overall performance.
  • Develop future leaders through accountability, training, and professional growth opportunities.
  • Foster a positive, customer-focused culture centered on teamwork, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Manage Daily Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day HVAC service operations, including scheduling, dispatch coordination, workflow management, and technician utilization.
  • Ensure efficient execution of service calls while maintaining a superior customer experience.
  • Partner with dispatch and customer service teams to maximize capacity and responsiveness.

Drive Department Performance

  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators, including revenue, gross margin, lead generation, membership growth, technician productivity, callbacks, and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize reporting and data to identify opportunities for growth and operational improvement.
  • Hold team members accountable to performance expectations while providing the support needed to succeed.

Technical Support & Customer Experience

  • Provide advanced technical assistance and troubleshooting support for complex service situations.
  • Support technicians with customer communication and solution presentation.
  • Professionally resolve escalated customer concerns while maintaining positive relationships and trust.

Safety & Collaboration

  • Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and local code requirements.
  • Collaborate with installation, sales, dispatch, and customer service teams to create a seamless customer experience.
  • Partner with leadership to support strategic growth initiatives and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of residential HVAC service experience.
  • At least 2 years of leadership or management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of residential HVAC diagnostics, repairs, airflow, and system performance.
  • Experience coaching and developing technicians.
  • Proficiency with ServiceTitan or similar field service software.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
